Lunar Occultation
off to stare at lights to try to imagine a gravitational wave passing and watching the light cones oscillate from right to left. Why right to left?
Mainly wondering about black holes, and standing on the horizon, where time stands still. Wondering why it’s the border and not the center. Then imagining how in order to exit the black hole, you would have to move towards the present.
Thinking about how it closes off a region of space in the future from everything that surrounds it. It’s the curious local structure of the present that produces black holes. 100 years have passed since we’ve learned the present of the universe doesn’t exist. We say what exists is what is here in the present, but the present has disappeared. The universe doesn’t change with the passage of time.
Then I think how God keeps us searching and curious. A never ending journey. That makes what’s to come very exciting
